Robert L. McClelland, a Lexington attorney with McClelland & Associates, PLLC,is  recognized by his peers and clients alike for his experience as an Elder Law and Special Needs Planning attorney. He was the first elected Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Elder Law Section.

Mr. McClelland is a 1972 graduate of the University of Charleston, a 1983 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law and Northern Kentucky University and in 2013 was awarded a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, FL.  Robert is a Certified Elder Law Attorney, being certified in the practice of elder law by the National Elder Law Foundation, the only organization recognized by the American Bar Association to grant certification in elder law.


Mark Maddox graduated from the University of Iowa with a business degree in 1978 and a law degree from Chase College of Law in 1981. Prior to focusing his practice on elder care, he represented several lending institutions in collections and foreclosures as well as representing other clients in the areas of personal injury, domestic relations and estates. As a result he has had the experience of opening and closing offices in the Counties of Wolfe, Morgan and Powell. Having married a girl from Lexington who did not want to live farther east than New Circle Road, he has settled in Lexington. Mark enjoys travel, chess, and history.
