Matthew Smith is an Attorney-at-Law licensed to practice in the state of Kentucky. He received his B.A. from Centre College and an M.B.A from Walden University. Matt earned his J.D. from Northern Kentucky Chase College of Law.
Before attending law school Matthew worked as a Financial Advisor with Waddell and Reed assisting families with long term financial planning goals, specializing in asset protection with special needs trusts.
As an Elder Law attorney, Matthew focuses his practice counselling clients on Special Needs Planning, Estate Planning through Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts, Medicaid Planning, VA Benefits Planning, Social Security, Guardianship and Probate.
As an active community member, Matthew has 10 years of service as an active board member on the Kentucky Behaviorial Health Planning and Advisory Council. He is also serves as a Board member of the Kentucky Association for Gerontology, the Brain Injury Alliance of Northern Kentucky and as a Trustee of the Grant County Library.
His freetime is spent with his fiance’, Lindsay, his son, David Henry, and three dogs, Matilda, Weller and Brinkley.
